    Following Orrcon’s success in the many industries that it services, the company has broadened its horizon to include pipeline supply into the water and sewerage markets.

Orrcon offers the water industry a world class Pipeline System Package featuring Rubber Ring Joints, Repair-Free Internal Welded Joints and other traditional jointing methods. Orrcon also offers the latest state-of-the-art Trilaminate external coating, solvent-free liquid epoxy lining in lengths to 18 metres and a size range from 219mm to 1290mm O.D.
– giving the water industry a real alternative in pipeline solutions.

NB: Sizes are not limited to the above mentioned; additional sizes are available subject to enquiry. 		 
       
    Coating  
   
Trilaminate
Orrcon water pipes are externally coated with Trilaminate, a multilayer thermoplastic coating designed to provide maximum long term corrosion resistance and mechanical protection to steel pipes.

Trilaminate consists of the following inline automated process:
150 microns of Fusion Bonded Epoxy (purely corrosion protection)
100 microns of adhesive polymer resin (chemically bonds to the 1st & 3rd layers)
1200 microns of High Density Polyethylene (mechanical & corrosion protection)

Each layer performs a distinct function within the coating, unlike a single layer coating system where one layer performs both corrosion and mechanical protection. 		 
       
   
 
       
    Lining  
   
The pipe is internally lined with Potable Water Approved Liquid Epoxy. The internal lining offered by Orrcon is an alternative to cement lined products. Manufactured by Copon/ 3M, who are renowned for its R & D, the said product is widely used throughout the United Kingdom, North America and Europe.

The liquid epoxy lining is continuously applied in one coat by a multi-million dollar, computer controlled automated plant.

Orrcon can tailor alternative internal linings for other applications including sewerage, recycled water and slurries, where an abrasive and chemical resistant epoxy is required for extra heavy duty service or carriage of more abrasive liquids.
The Orrcon Trio
Orrcon has developed a trio of coating and lining systems to meet various aspects for corrosion and abrasion protection required by the market. These systems cover potable water, sewerage and recycled/ grey water, with the following features:

HydroPipe – Potable water approved piping system
The system consist of a long life Trilaminate external coating with the outer layer of industry preferred Blue, high density polyethylene and an internal coating of white or light grey solvent free. Potable water approved liquid epoxy. 		 
   
 
   
SewaPipe – A smooth lined, abrasive and chemical resistant sewer system
The system consists of the same external Trilaminate coating as for potable water but with the outer layer coloured Grey high density polyethylene. The internal coating is a grey abrasive resistant liquid epoxy, capable of withstanding heavy abrasion and chemical attack as experienced with sewerage treatment pipelines.		  
   
 
   
EcoPipe – Recycled/ Effluent water piping system
The third in the Orrcon offering, this system retains the longlife Trilaminate external coating, but with the industry preferred Lilac high density polyethylene. The internal coating is varied to suit the liquid being transmitted through the pipe.
