The 2018 Supercars Racing Calendar

The 2018 Supercars Championship season looks set to be a big year, with two new rounds added to form a 16-event schedule.

Orrcon Steel Brand Ambassador Mark Winterbottom is primed for a big year of racing.

After finishing sixth in the 2017 championship points standings, “Frosty” had a year of highs and lows.

“Last year was a pretty tough year for us, we’ll tidy up just a few little areas that I think are pretty easy to fix. I’ve been driving well, so I know that if we can implement a few more changes to compliment the structure we already have, I think we’ll make big strides.”

It’s a year of first’s in 2018, with Supercars heading to Tailem Bend in South Australia for the inaugural ‘Bend’ SuperSprint event.

“Tailem Bend is a big one, new track, new event, which should be pretty cool,” Mark said.

The 2015 Supercars Series Champion spent the off-season at the river water skiing and seeing friends and family.

“Our offseason is only four to five weeks, so those are about giving back to the family. But you never stop thinking about motorsport, you’re still sending texts to an engineer or mechanic or someone saying ‘can we do this next year?’ So you’re off, but you’re never really off,” he said.
